Website update

If you get tired of reading about photography, and want to see some photographs, I’ve just updated my main website: www.joereifer.com

The old night galleries are gone, as are the portrait galleries. There are about a dozen new night images, and 12 street images posted for your enjoyment. The image size has been increased from 300 pixels high to over 400 pixels high. These are some of my favorite images shot during 2006. As always, if you are interested in a print please contact me via email.

I’ll be writing a post soon about my goals for 2007.

  1. I really like the updated site! I’ve been thinking going away from the thumbnail+’click for larger’ route and yours is a great example of something that works.

  2. Thanks Brian. I’ve built a bunch of thumbnails in my day, some manually, and some with Photoshop Actions. I don’t miss building them, and I don’t miss clicking on them.

My website is built using Fluid Galleries from Evrium. The software makes it really easy to quickly build and customize a photography website. I’m also motivated to update my site more often because it’s not a big chore.

Another cool thing is Evrium gives you a $50 referral bonus for turning people on to the software. If you or anyone you know decides to get a Fluid Galleries site, let me know beforehand!

My blog is built using WordPress which is great. WordPress is cleaner and more customizable than Blogger, has a great categories feature, an amazing anti-comment spam plug-in called Akismet — and best of all, it’s free!

    Cheers,

    Joe
