New Topographics: CLUI

The Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) has just posted their latest newsletter. The term newsletter doesn't really do it justice, though. If you are interested in the New Topographics, the CLUI site is a must see. What is CLUI?

The Center for Land Use Interpretation is a research organization interested in understanding the nature and extent of human interaction with the earth's surface. The Center embraces a multidisciplinary approach to fulfilling the stated mission, employing conventional research and information processing methodology as well as nontraditional interpretive tools.

In addition to online articles, books, and real life exhibits, CLUI has a great Land Use Database that is searchable by state and land use type.
