• Amy Stein presents, Shore Thing: Cars for Photographers — I seem to be finding enough cars in Berkeley for the time being, but it’s comforting to know these services are available. I love the Adam Gopnik quote “Shore was the Atget of the parked car.” Amy, I hope my “out with the old, in with the new” photo above doesn’t hurt your business. Today’s mid-80′s cropped Honda photos may be tomorrow’s classics (via Muse-ings)
• The Henry Wessel exhibit earlier this year at the SF MOMA was brilliant, as is the accompanying book. You may also remember that Wessel was part of the highly influential New Topographics show in 1975. Thanks to a tip from The Online Photographer, I watched an 8 minute program about Wessel on KQED’s excellent show Spark. Highly recommended!
