I’m planning a night photography workshop at an amazing high desert salvage yard with night photographer extraordinaire Troy Paiva. We have official access to the yard, and now need to gauge your interest in attending. The workshop would take place on Saturday/Sunday October 11-12, 2008 near Ridgecrest, CA [Map].
There will be demos and time to review your work in the afternoon, and plenty of time for full moon shooting from 6pm until late into the night. Troy will be shooting in the field both nights — learn light painting and flash techniques by watching the master at work. I’ll also be available to help you in the field. This workshop is a great opportunity to improve your night photography and lighting skills, and to have official access to one of the best salvage yards I’ve ever seen.
The cost for this special two night event is $550. There are plenty of economical food and lodging options in Ridgecrest, and also nearby camping. The workshop will be strictly limited to 10 participants. More details coming soon. Please contact me if you’re interested in this opportunity to experience photographing hundreds of old cars in the desert under the full moon with us!
