This gallery of my 20 favorite night photos shot in the fantastic Pearsonville junkyard was put together for those of you who are thinking about attending the night photography / light painting workshop that I’m teaching with Troy Paiva. You’ll find the workshop details and schedule over on the Lost America site.

Sounds like an awesome (and quite unique) workshop! I’d definitely enjoy something like that (sorry, can’t make it – we’re expecting kiddo number 2 to arrive Oct. 14, i.e. I won’t be leaving town in Oct.). I love making really long exposures and all the neat stuff you can do while the shutter is open ;-)

I enjoyed your gallery of photos from the junkyard. Nice work!

Duster Glow (hoods up) not only is a nice document of this location but also an interesting landscape with a uhhhhhh Duster in the foreground. The lighting inside the car mixed with light/exposure of the sky have a nice balance.

Cool to hear the workshop is getting filled! Hope it all goes well. This trip was one of the highlights of my summer. Maybe by this winter I’ll post my photos from this spot.
