Psychic Reader — by Joe Reifer
I’m sure the P-Reader pictured above can parse data from CompactFlash®, SmartMedia™, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™, Memory Stick Duo™, Memory Stick PRO Duo, MultiMediaCard, RS-MMC, SD™, miniSD™ and xD-Picture™ cards.
Thanks, Tim! Apparently this reader has a crystal ball plugin that works really well.
I love having a small point and shoot that shoots DNG files and takes good night photos!
Which DNG-smart, P&S are we talking about here?
Ricoh GRD II. 28mm equivalent fixed f/2.4 lens, takes up to 3 minute long night photos with noise reduction. Expensive, but a great camera.
Hm-m-m, that is interesting – I’ve become enamored with the idea of the Canon G10 – for some daytime stuff (GASP!) I might be doing – tavellinglight, quick and dirty. Now, to just get the spare chaynge together ($500) . . .
The G10 looks to have fixed the things I didn’t like about the G9 — 28mm on the wide end instead of 35mm (at the expense of more telephoto reach), and an ergonomic grip. One thing to consider is that neither the G9 or G10 is a pocket camera. This matters to some folks more than others, but is worth consideration if it would be a barrier against having the camera with you.
