That came out great Joe!
Cool idea. I’ve been thinking about getting some cheap hairspray at the dollar store for some fire effects, or maybe using my propane torch for a nice blue flame.
Of course in an activity where you’re already trying to avoid run-ins with the authorities, there’s nothing like a little fire play to take it up a notch.
Pretty cool, Joe. Glad to see you were able to get out over the weekend. We spent most of it in the car driving to and from NJ, looking at stuff like this.
DT – thanks!
David – I hear you on being careful what’s in your bag. This effect was done with some pretty low profile ingredients — steel wool and a 9 volt battery. Again thanks to Aaron for lighting it up!
Kent – thanks. You got crazy driftwood sculptures out there in NJ? Do tell!
great to see a new and unique take on an often seen subject in my line of work
Aaron was telling me about this shot. Very cool effect!
Chris – I bet you do see a lot of Bulb photos. LOL. Thanks!
Scott – Aaron’s fire technique was the key to making this shot work. Maybe some night photographers can get sponsored by Chore Boy.
Joe, we gotta bring a leaf blower next time. That will make for some good fire breath.
