Oldsmobile (Fasten your seatbelts) — by Joe Reifer

I believe the Oldsmobile is a 1959. One of my favorite details is the license plate holder says “Square Dancer.” The image is two photos combined for an 18 minute long exposure. Each shot was 9 minutes at f/9.5 ISO 200 using an Olympus Zuiko 21mm f/3.5 lens on a Canon 5D Mark II.

Is that a DeSoto to the left of the Olds?

Hi Kent – the headlights look similar to a 1961 DeSoto, but the car on the left is a 1962 Chrysler. I checked the American Car Spotter’s Bible — one of the best reference tools around for fans of classic cars.

I need to get that spotting book
