Set #1 — Business Coupe The digital version its much clearer and sharper and with color painting and dusk falling it is very nice picture. The film exposure is like taken from the movie and with stars effect I can imagine movement so this one is for me:)

Like we can see at the Set #3 — Southbound Winnie digital version has quality within and this gives effect like this two pictures were captured long time before one another. On the film frame I like stars and there movement with North Star in the middle I’ll go for both of them:)

Great work guys! I did a 36 minute single frame digital exposure 2 weeks ago two days before the full moon with Lance that's gorgeous and noise free. I've also done a number of 2 hour multiple frame exposures that require "image stacking" after the fact. The flexibility and quality of either approach is fantastic. Being able to check the light paining in a quick test shot before committing to the final is invaluable for light painting noobies like myself. Lance's upcoming book will have lots of details on these and other techniques.

Great comparison you guys. I'm in agreement with Troy, but wish that the green on the Galaxie in the digital version was kept off of the creosote bush. Natural flashlight on the bush would have separated the two a bit better.
David- We are getting really close to being able to do 45 min digital exposures cleanly. The current full frame cameras- 5D mkII, and especially the new Nikons produce amazingly clean images, even more so when it's cold out. The recently released Beta version of LR3 shows marked improvement in noise reduction too. See the side by side comparison on Scott Martin's blog.
