Night photography with a fisheye lens: Get bent -- by Kerry Souza

Portrait photographer Kerry Souza attended the March 2010 Pearsonville night photography workshop, and did most of her shooting with a 15mm fisheye lens on the Canon 5D. Fisheye lenses are difficult to use for night photography -- there is so much information in the frame with an ultra-wide, that compositions can get unruly. Kerry quickly established a consistent fisheye vision in the junkyard, with excellent control of line and composition. The Get bent image above was a favorite from the critique on the 2nd day of the workshop -- a swooping, spiraling night photography fisheye tour de force!

There are now 700 images from the past 4 workshops in the Pearsonville pool on Flickr -- amazing night images by very talented photographers. Let me know if you'd like to get on the notification list for future workshops!
