Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland is a fun place to explore. The image above is composed of 8 vertical shots taken hand-held with a 5D Mark II and Olympus OM 28mm f/3.5 Zuiko lens. The panorama was created in Photoshop CS5.
This 360 degree view from the sky was taken using the 360 pano app on an iPhone 4. The nadir hole was patched in Photoshop CS5. This app is promising, but often delivers poor stitching results. Paying close attention to where you stand and your panning technique are necessary to get a shot that lines up. The app does regular panoramas, stereographic, and interactive. For $1.99 it’s pretty fun. Watch out though — creating panoramas in real-time by spinning around can make you dizzy.
